Win Duraflame Stax! Ends 2/8/10

It's winter and there are many of us looking for warmth.
What could be more fun than finding warmth in front of a cozy fire.
The folks at Duraflame have a new eco-friendly and consumer friendly product called Stax and they were nice enough to send me some.

What makes Duraflame Stax so great?
Here is what I like about Stax that I tried;
  • Produce significantly fewer pollutants
  • Easy to light – full flames in less than 5 minutes
  • Less logs needed than wood for a similar duration fire
  • Clean to handle and easy to store

It's also nice that these produce more heat output – 50% more BTU heat energy per fire
Can be used in woodstoves

And here’s a little background on Stax:

  • A Stax fire takes just minutes to build without the mess or splinters
  • Only three Stax logs are needed for an evening’s fire compared to a 30-pound bundle of wood
  • In a fireplace, the firelogs produce approximately 50 percent less emissions than an equivalent wood fire
  • Stax logs are the first Duraflame firelogs designed to burn with multiple logs and are approved for use in a wood stove

Interested in trying Stax?
Stax are available at grocery and major retailers across the country, including Target and K-Mart. A box retails for $9.99 to $19.99, depending on the bundle size.

Here are more reasons why you may want to try Stax.
Unlike firelogs, you start a stax fire with 2 logs, because they’re specially formulated to be stacked for a more wood- like fire experience. A third log can be added after about 2 hours to prolong the fire experience.

The logs have less energy /lb than traditional firelogs, and are formulated to remain solid while burning, allowing more than one log to be burned at the same time. The logs are also shaped like split wood and burn with the charred and ashed appearance of real wood.

In addition to fireplaces, stax logs can be burned in a woodstove and outdoors in a fireplace or firebowl. And because more than one log can be burned at a time, stax logs put out more heat per fire (50% more BTU energy) than just one firelog. Both duraflame brand firelogs and stax firelogs are all natural, made from 100% renewable resources, and both burn much cleaner with less emissions than wood, for a cleaner, greener fire.
